Figure this One Out!

The restaurant I work for is running well. People are taken care of.

Yes, problems crop up occasionally, but not more than any other restaurant. And we consistantly get high to perfect scores on our secret shoppers.

Here's the problem. We're doing this with consistantly much fewer servers than corporate says we're suppose to for the amount of sales going on.

We apparently have twice the sales/service hour than the the next lowest store. So we give good service, with less people, meaning less wages paid. You'd think this is a good thing. But apparently not. Our district manager is absolutely hounding my store's service manager to get more servers working.

Lessee, a store that gives good service, pays less in wages and consistantly has the highest bar mix in the district?

That sounds like a well managed restaurant to me. Apparently corporate doesn't want that!
