Actually, the centerpiece of my system is a Gmail account. With the tagging and ability to take notes on items. Attachments to keep information on hand when needed. Integrated with Google Calendars for recurring items and scheduling.
I'm hoping to get to the point, where I'm actually running ahead on things I need to do. Here's where the problem comes in. I want to be able to send myself an e-mail for something that needs to be done and then it applies a label for that due date. That way I can prioritize my next task based on when they are due. I'm only seeing a couple options here.
I could possibly set up 366 filters, one for every day of the year and just have it scan the subject for the date. But that seems a little excessive.
Or I could just do tags for month and day, which would cut down my tags, but how do I specify a date vs another random number in the subject or body.
